A Girl’s Courage Too seems to pluck much from reality To tell a story that’s impossible to put down. This is a tautly composed story that refuses to be ignored; though; It is not filled with rancor. Mary Ellen doesn’t just survive; she thrives and leads a full life.

"I read your book three times. The first time with
my breath held, skimming through. Then the
second time, all the way through. And third
slowly to relive some of the parts.
I loved it! I can't tell you how much it touched me.
Thank you for such a beautiful story of portraying life on Manton Avenue.
I recommended it to all my family including my Mom."

WHAT READERS ARE SAYING
A Girl's Courage Too is an important book, that I expect took courage to write—and immense strength to live through. What Mary Ellen describe s is all too familiar to many of us (yes, “me too”). Yet it goes far beyond a potentially depressing “here we go again.”
Her  writing is honest, fresh, and her artist’s eye has been invaluable in choosing just the right details to make each scene, and people in the story vivid and memorable.
Ultimately it’s a story of hope—and I think that this is what makes this book an important one.

It must be a great feeling to  to write about 'it'
and know that you are a survivor.
You see, I too am a survivor.
Some day I'll tell my story.
I love you girl.
